Newcastle United player stretchered off in agony
Jetro Willems has been stretchered off against Chelsea this evening.
The Newcastle United defender suffered an injury early in the game at St James’s Park, which was goalless at the time.
Willems, signed on a season-long loan from Eintracht Frankfurt, beat the turf in frustration after going down.
The 25-year-old was applauded off the field by fans as he was taken off.
Willems was replaced by fit-again Matt Ritchie, who had two operations on the ankle he injured in August.
