Aside from Cockerton Fisheries, in Darlington, Fisherman’s Catch was the only fish and chip shop from the North East to make the list.

The Coeliac Sanctuary has put the ‘Top 40 UK Gluten Free Chip Shops 2024’ list together to give those with coeliac disease peace of mind with some reputable gluten free options.

All entries on the list use separate utensils and cook food separately if they are not fully gluten free, as well as having a full gluten free menu - not just fish and chips.
