Newcastle United plot double Premier League signing, West Ham want St James' Park star, and more

Newcastle United are planning to land both Mason Holgate and Lewis Gibson from Everton.

The club were linked with a £14m move for Holgate last week, and the Northern Echo report that they also want to bring Gibson back to the club, after the Toffees poached him a couple of years ago.

Gibson hasn’t played for Everton at a senior level yet, and Newcastle still value his ability.

In the same report, West Ham United are linked with a £5m move for Javier Manquillo, with Newcastle braced to try and keep hold of the defender in the January window.
